The Ministry of Finance has announced an open bid for the construction of a quarantine facility at Kulhudhuffushi Regional Hospital (KRH). This development is part of the Maldives COVID-19 Emergency Response and Health Systems Preparedness Project, funded through assistance from the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB).
According to the Finance Ministry, the project will be conducted following the Bank’s Procurement Instructions for Recipients (PIR) under international open competitive procedures. The bid is open to all eligible parties as specified in the PIR guidelines.
Interested parties must pay a non-refundable registration fee of MVR 1,500 or USD 100 to participate in the bidding process. The registration period is open from July 9, 2025, to August 21, 2025, on working days between 8:00 AM and 2:00 PM through the ministry’s online payment portal, Bandeyri Pay (https://bandeyripay.finance.gov.mv).
The Ministry has announced that all bidding documents and related materials will be available for download in soft copy format from the Ministry’s website (www.finance.gov.mv) starting July 9, 2025. Bidders must submit a bid security of USD 26,500 or its equivalent in Maldivian Rufiyaa, valid for 178 days from the bid opening date.
The bid opening session is scheduled for Monday, August 25, 2025, at 1:00 PM, to be held at the National Tender Department’s conference room at the Ministry of Finance. The Ministry has emphasized that late submissions will not be accepted and will be returned unopened.
