A postmortem examination has been conducted on the body of Maldivian youth who was found dead in Sri Lanka, after being reported missing.
A Police Spokesperson said that his family currently making arrangements for his funeral processions.
“The family is working on holding the funeral sometime tonight,” the Spokesperson had said.
The 22-year-old Afham Naseer from Dh. Kudahuvadhoo was reported missing on Saturday.
Later the same day, Sri Lankan authorities confirmed his body was found near a railway track in Dehiwala beach area. When his body was found, he had a knife in his hand and visible injuries to his neck.
Afham moved to Lanka three years ago to seek higher studies in Business.
