Former Attorney General Dhiyana Saeed have said that there is no reason why the Supreme Court cannot nullify the 13 year jail sentence on former President Nasheed.
Dhiyana tweeted saying that the majority of the judges in the Supreme Court benches issued a verdict on former Elections Commission members via suo motu case and the same can be done for Nasheed’s case as well.
Politicians and the public are expressing their views about what might happen if President Nasheed’s verdict is not nullified by the time he returns to Maldives.
