Maldives Committed to Enhancing Ties with South Korea

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr Abdulla Khaleel has reaffirmed the Maldives’ commitment to strengthening the close bilateral ties and partnership with South Korea.
Minister Dr Khaleel made these remarks during the reception hosted by the Ambassador of the South Korea, Miyon Lee, to mark the 58th Anniversary of diplomatic relations between the Maldives South Korea.
As the Chief Guest of the reception, Minister Dr Khaleel delivered remarks reflecting on the close relationship between the two countries. In his remarks, the Minister reaffirmed the Maldives’ commitment to strengthening the close bilateral ties and partnership with South Korea, highlighting decades of collaboration that has expanded across many areas, from human resource development and governance to education, technology, and healthcare.
Minister Dr Khaleel also praised the enduring friendship between the Maldives and the South Korea, guided by mutual respect, cooperation, and shared aspirations for peace and prosperity.
The reception held in Kurumbaa Maldives on Monday evening was attended by Cabinet Ministers, senior government officials and members of the diplomatic community.
