A speeding motorcycle crashed into another motorcycle in an accident in Male’ City on Tuesday, leaving a young boy injured.
The accident took place in front of the Rehendhi apartment complex located in Ameenee Magu, and was reported to the police at 12:33 pm.
The collision resulted in injuries to an 11-year-old boy who was in the backseat of one of the motorcycles.
According to the police, the accident resulted from a speeding motorcycle crashing into the one the boy was on.
The young boy is being treated at the Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH).
He did not sustain any serious injuries, said the police.
The police have towed the motorcycle believed to have caused the accident, and are investigating the case.
