Police have arrested a man and seized his digital devices in a special operation launched in Male' City on Thursday, which the agency said is in response to a suspected case of witness tampering.
Police said a 34-year-old man was arrested, and after searching his residence, his digital devices were seized for investigation.
The digital devices of two others were also seized in the same case, police say.
Police did not specify the type of case the operation was related to. The duration of the operation and any other details were not disclosed.
Members of the police, including the Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team, were photographed at a warehouse in Male' on Thursday morning.
