The Male' Police Command successfully recovered lost and stolen property valued at MVR 5 million in August, according to recently released statistics detailing last month's frontline policing efforts.
The recovered items include:
90 motorcycles, totaling MVR 4,285,880
19 phones, totaling MVR 219,843
Four electronic devices, totaling MVR 19,850
MVR 329,350 recovered from 40 cases
47 other cases, totaling MVR 80,848

In addition to property recovery, the Police Command also handed over four foreign nationals to Immigration for various reasons during the same period.
Operational statistics for August further reveal significant police activity:
999 hours and one minute were dedicated to foot patrolling.
26,674 premises were inspected.
127 vehicle checkpoints were established, with vehicles inspected.
Six visibility and traffic management points were set up.
Frontline police also stopped and questioned a total of 5,581 individuals, of whom 5,373 had criminal records, while the remaining 208 were record-clean. Furthermore, the neighborhood police service conducted 900 community interactions with the public within the city.
With the Male' area, home to the majority of the nation's population, experiencing the highest incidence of crime, law enforcement is actively enhancing its visibility in public spaces to address this issue and improve access to police support for the community.
