Maldives Industrial Fisheries Company Ltd (MIFCO) held discussions with the Embassy of the Maldives in Japan to seek support in engaging Japanese companies for initiatives related to value-added fisheries products and the development of a mariculture industry.
The discussions were held as part of MIFCO’s high-level delegations’ official trip to Tokyo, Japan. The discussions focused on expanding MIFCO’s trade opportunities and seeking options to increase engagement of Japanese companies in MIFCO’s operations in international markets.
Both parties discussed the participation and cooperation of the Maldivian Embassy in Japan in expanding MIFCO's business in the Japanese market, adding value to its products and seeking the participation of Japanese companies in MIFCO's efforts to establish a mariculture industry.
Deputy Ambassador Ahmed Adil, alongside Second Secretary Hawwa Samha, affirmed the Embassy’s full cooperation in their participation at the meeting.
MIFCO is working to promote its products in various markets around the world. In this regard, the company also participates in international fairs to showcase and market its products.
