Central Power Station project awarded to an experienced company

Fenaka Corporation’s Managing Director, Mohamed Najaah says the company selected to build a new central power station in Addu City has the experience needed to deliver a long-term solution to the area’s electricity problems.
The contract has been awarded to the Dubai-based company Definite Solutions.
Speaking on PSM News, Najaah said electricity supply remains one of the biggest concerns for residents of Addu City, and the government has been working to resolve the issue.
He said the new central power station is intended to provide a permanent solution. Najaah added that Definite Solutions has extensive experience in the sector and is currently carrying out major power projects in Dubai. He said the company is working on two projects there with capacities of around 28 megawatts and 18 megawatts.
The contract to build the power station in Addu City was awarded on the seventh of February.
Definite Solutions, which is registered in Dubai, has previously worked on similar projects across the Middle East.
The project was reassigned after the earlier contract with China’s Donfang Company was cancelled due to non-compliance.
