Ooredoo Conducts Digital Literacy Programs for Senior Citizens

As part of Ooredoo Maldives’ ongoing digital literacy initiatives, special sessions have been held in Malé and Hulhumalé for members of the “Israhvehinge Naadhee” (Senior Citizens’ Center).
These activities were conducted to mark the launch of this year’s digital literacy programs.
Specifically designed for the elderly, this program aims to help participants better understand and navigate today’s digital world. During these sessions, information was shared regarding smartphone usage, digital services, and practical online tools essential for accessing everyday services.
This initiative symbolizes the importance Ooredoo places on inclusive digital growth. Ooredoo’s goal is to ensure that as technology advances, no segment of society, especially senior citizens, is left behind. These sessions were conducted in a supportive environment, tailored to the specific needs and learning pace of older adults.
Ooredoo Maldives has been continuously conducting digital literacy programs across the Maldives since 2018. This is part of the company’s broader efforts to build a digitally inclusive Maldives and to bridge the digital divide between generations.
Through such activities, Ooredoo continues to play a vital role in empowering the community and promoting lifelong learning skills in a digital world.
