The President of the 76th Session of the United Nations General Assembly (PGA) Abdulla Shahid has concluded the Official Visit made to the Maldives upon the invitation of President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih.
The PGA was seen off from Velana International Airport (VIA) by the Chief of Staff of the President's Office Ali Zahir.
The PGA called on President Solih at the President's Office during his visit. He was accorded the full ceremonial honours and welcomed by President Solih on his arrival to the President's Office. They also held a Joint Press Conference during his visit to the President's Office.
At the special ceremony held to mark this year's National Day, President Solih presented the Order of the Distinguished Rule of Izzuddin to the PGA.
The Order of the Distinguished Rule of Izzuddin was conferred to acknowledge his national service in boosting the foreign sector and bringing pride to the Maldives in the international arena.
