Hulhumale’ suffered water scarcity for one night، as the water supply service in the island was disrupted on Tuesday night.
The incident occurred last night around 21:00hrs while the main water supply valve was reported of leakage، and the supply company situated in Hulhumale’ shut down the channel to resolve the issue. Residents were assured the interruption will last up to 3 hours، however it had extended 5 more hours on top of their assured time.
Residents started receiving the water supply sometime during 05:00hrs in at dawn.
According to reports، the main supply valve had leakages due to an unintentional intervention from a private entity due to a work carried out near the valve site.
According the water supply company located in Hulhumale’ the main water supply valve had been fixed thoroughly and water has been resumed back to households without any further interruption.
