President pledges completion of Alifushi airport and hospital projects within current term

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has pledged that the airport and hospital development projects in Alifushi, Raa Atoll will be completed and inaugurated before the end of the current administration's term.
The President made the remarks while responding to a question from a journalist during one of his regular press briefings, following reports that construction of the Alifushi Hospital had stalled.
President Muizzu assured that work on both projects would be completed within the current term.
A new 30-bed hospital is being developed in Alifushi at a cost of USD 8.2 million.
The project was awarded to the Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC), with a contractual completion period of two years.
