President of China Xi Jinping will begin state visits to the Maldives, Sri Lanka, India, and Tajikistan next week, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China has announced today.
According to the Spokesperson for the Chinese Foreign Ministry, Qin Gang, Xi will attend the 14th Meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Heads of State Council to be held in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, from September 11 to 12, following which he will visit Maldives, Sri Lanka, and India.
The Chinese President will visit the Maldives on the invitation of President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom.
