Member of parliament for Thimarafushi electorate Mohamed Mustafa has expressed gratitude to President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom after Former President Mohamed Nasheed –who is serving 13 years in prison due to proven terrorism charges– has been placed in home detention. 
Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM)’s MP Mustafa expressed gratitude over a tweet he posted today. The tweet said that he is thankful to President Yameen for showing leniency on Nasheed and placing him on home detention temporary.

Correctional media official informed “Vaguthu” that Nasheed has been changed to home detention after doctor prescribed to change Nasheed to a “Stress free” environment.
“Doctor prescribed to change Nasheed to a “Stress free” environment for three days. Therefore [Nasheed] has been placed in home custody for three days.” said official.
Meanwhile several citizens are noting the leniency of President Yameen and Tourism Minister Ahmed Adeeb، who is currently in charge of Home Ministry، and are expressing gratitude for to President Yameen and Minister Adeeb.
