Former Vice President Abdulla Jihad has been appointed as the Chairperson of Maldives International Finance Service Authority (MIFSA).
MIFSA is being formed by President Dr Mohamed Muizzu to establish a development bank in the Maldives.
In a post on social media X, Minister of Economic Development and Trade Mohamed Saeed announced that President Muizzu had compiled the governing board of MIFSA.
He expressed confidence that Jihad would fulfil the President's aspirations of bringing about major economic transformation to the country.

Prior to serving as Vice President to former President Abdulla Yameen, Jihad served as Minister of Finance.
