Health Protection Agency (HPA) announced on Saturday that a COVID-19 patient has died in GDh. Thinadhoo. 
The patient, identified as a 90-year-old Maldivian male, was admitted at the GDh. Covid Management Facility in Thinadhoo. 
He died at 06:30 pm this Saturday. 
“This is the 226th COVID-19 death in the Maldives,” announced HPA. 
It also marks the third COVID-19 death in Thinadhoo. 
Maldives has 80,678 confirmed COVID-19 cases, including 139 new cases recorded this Saturday. 78,757 patients have since recovered.  
The country currently has 1,683active cases. 11 of the patients are hospitalized.
