The former president Mohamed Nasheed had been found guilty by the Criminal Court following the trial of him on terrorism charges pressed by the State.
The court has sentenced Nasheed for 13 years in jail.
Ex-President Nasheed was pressed with terrorism charges by the State for the unlawful detaining and isolating of the Criminal Court chief Judge، Abdulla ‘Gaazee’ Mohamed in 2012.
