President appoints two delegates to visit atolls to assess damage of heavy rains

President Dr Mohamed Waheed Hassan Manik has decided to appoint two special delegates, who will depart to the atolls to assess the damage caused by the squalls being experienced all over the country.
The President’s Office said that the delegates will visit some of the islands that suffered most damage in the north and south of Maldives.
Advisor at President’s Office, Ibrahim Moosa Luthfee has been assigned to travel to southern islands; and Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Mohamed Saleem will travel to northern islands.
The President’s Office has said that the delegates will assess the situation in the islands, and assist the people on behalf of the government.
Serious damage was caused yesterday by heavy rains in Ha. Hoarafushi, Ha. Baarah and Hdh. Hanimadhoo.
