Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has signed a new agreement with the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment to develop a new football ground.
As such, the new contract handed over to MTCC involves the development of a football ground at Shaviyani atoll Feevah.
Moreover, the main project work entails the subbase preparation for the football pitch.
The signing ceremony took place on Sunday, 15 August with Mr. Shahid Hussain Moosa, CEO of MTCC signing on behalf of the company while Minister of Youth Mr. Ahmed Ibrahim signed on behalf of the state.
Project scope involves site clearance in an area of 8,400 square meters along with excavation of 2,940 cubic meters required for the preparation of the football pitch.
Additionally, MTCC will execute backfilling which span for 4,511.70 cubic meters of the field along with supply and installation of the pavement area which will measure 460.29 square meters around the gutter, with the installation of gutters and soak pits.
According to MTCC the project is valued at MVR2.68 million while the physical works for the project has already commenced.
