The Youth Awards will be conferred during the ceremony held to mark National Youth Day on October 22. The ministry has provided details on the points to be given to the nominees in the Government Gazette. All qualified individuals are required to submit their nominations by September 29.
The Youth Awards aim to recognise the contributions of youth towards national development across various fields. The youth ministry revealed awards will be given across 18 different fields this year, including business and commerce, health, sports, environment, fisheries and agriculture, volunteer work, and vocational training. The awards include the Martyr Jawad Umar Memorial Plaque and the special award conferred by the youth minister.
