President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has stated that the Giraavarufalhu land reclamation will be the next land reclamation project to be completed in the Greater Male’ area.
In a post shared on social media, the President announced that dredging work for Hulhumale’ Phase III has now been completed. He said the next reclamation project lined up for completion is the Giraavarufalhu project.
The Hulhumale’ Phase III dredging works were completed according to the government’s announced timeline, with a total of 40 hectares of land reclaimed within approximately two months.
A total of 160 hectares of land are to be reclaimed from the Giraavarufalhu. President Dr Muizzu has announced that an additional 50 hectares of land will be added to the project.
