President discusses key development priorities with Feydhoo Island Council, WDC, and institutional heads

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu met with members of the Sh. Feydhoo Island Council, the Women’s Development Committee, and heads of local institutions to discuss the island’s key development priorities. The meeting was held at the Feydhoo Health Centre.
During the meeting, council members outlined several key development needs, including the resumption of work on the halted eight-classroom building and the multipurpose hall. The council also requested the allocation of the old school site for the construction of a police station.
Additional requests included initiating coastal protection works and developing a designated swimming area, commencing the operation of the completed water and sewerage systems, and extending the health centre’s services to a 24-hour schedule with adequate staffing. The council further proposed the construction of a waste management centre, a new mosque, a handball court, and an indoor gym, as well as the installation of night lighting for the football field.
President Dr Muizzu assured participants that the Government would give due consideration to their concerns. He was accompanied by Cabinet ministers and senior officials from State-owned Enterprises, who also provided updates on ongoing development projects.
