Former President Mohamed Nasheed has been invited to take part in the independence day celebrations to be held at Usfasgandu and for the Banquette to be held at Dharubaaruge on July 26.
Vaguthu has learned he received the invitation this week، along with the two other former presidents; Maumoon Abdul Gayoom and Dr. Mohamed Waheed Hassan Manik.
The celebrations will be also participated by veteran politicians and people who have served the previous governments for a long period of time.
Former President Mohamed Nasheed، who was sentenced to 13 years in prison on terrorism charges، has been completely transferred to house arrest for the remainder of his sentence.
In addition، after a long time، former president Dr. Waheed has also returned to Maldives this week.
