Deputy Leader of the Jumhooree Party Ameen Ibrahim has said that the Jumhooree Party and MDP are advocating for the rights of all people and this campaign cannot be stopped.
Ameen said that it was for a reason that the two parties had to join together and come out on the street. He said that the government’s oppression and violating the rights of the people forced them to come out together for justice and equality.
“We are out here to protect and preserve the constitution. The reason still remains,” he said.
Ameen Ibrahim said that the campaign cannot be stopped up until the reason for the campaign still remains.
“We will remain steadfast upon this for the sake of the people and our nation,” he said.
The Jumhooree Party Deputy Leader said that the campaign should be continued in full gear since the government is trying to intimidate the reform campaign by arresting and framing opposition leaders.
“The government lost their patience when we joined together to reform the nation. They know that the people will not remain silent when the truth is exposed. So they started framing the leaders. They started arresting them,” he said.
