Home Minister Azleen Ahmed have said that Maldivians will not fall for whatever lies the traitors of the country might spread.
He said this while speaking at a ceremony held at GA.Villigili this morning to mark the national day.
He said that traitors will always be there and even now there are such people. “ It is sad to see that there are some Maldivians who live under the protection of the British, who colonized Maldives for hundreds of years” said Azleen.
He said that it is sad to see some political leaders falling for these traitors. Home Minister urged not to do this.
Speaking about the government’s decision to leave Commonwealth, Azleen said that it was an important step to protect the sovereignty of the country.
Azleen talked about the sacrifices made by our forefathers for the country. He urged the present generation to follow the footsteps of the forefathers. “You can serve the nation by having national spirit. By loving Islam and the country” said Azleen.
