President Dr Mohamed Muizzu met with members of Rasmaadhoo Island Council, Women's Development Committee (WDC) and heads of institutions in Rasmaadhoo to discuss the developmental needs of the island.
During the meeting, the Council shared the most urgent community needs. They requested solutions for housing issues and establishing a drainage system in flood-prone areas. The Council also sought protection for eroding areas and safeguarding the beach access area. Additionally, they requested expedited completion of the new building construction at Rasmaadhoo School.
The President also shared updates on the highlighted issues through the attending Ministers.
Before meeting with Rasmaadhoo Council and WDC, the President attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the new Council Secretariat building.
