Maldivian singer Ahmed Adhuham, lead singer of ‘2OfUs’, has been featured in ‘The World Album’.
Adhuham’s track featured on the album is an original song, with its lyrics and music composed by the singer himself. The song was recorded prior his band competing at the ‘Battle of the Bands’ in March this year.
Brandon Beckwith, the creator of ‘The World Album’ while speaking with ‘Sun’ said he came up with the idea of featuring songs from all over the world in June 2023, for which he has traveled to 30 different countries.
Beckwith further commented that 98 percent of the artists featured on the album were born to the country they represented, while the other two percent singers represented the countries where they were brought up.
“The album features a song from a North Korean singer, who fled the country along with his parents during childhood. The album also features a singer from the world’s smallest nation, Vatican City,” Beckwith said.

The album is set to release at 08:00hrs, Maldivian time, on August 1, 2025.
An EP featuring 157 songs from the artists featured on The World Album was released last year dubbed ‘International Artist Album Tour’, which according to Beckwith was to generate hype and interest for ‘The World Album’.
Beckwith claimed clips of the world tour album generated more than 45 million views on TikTok.
Speaking about how Beckwith befriended Adhuham, the album composer said he met the Maldivian singer through a mutual friend he from Ireland. Beckwith said Adhuham immediately accepted his offer to feature his song on the album.
Adhuham, whose band recently achieved significant recognition at the ‘Battle of the Bands’, said he agreed to the offer immediately since he did not wish to reject any opportunity for exposure.
The local singer said this opportunity is a proud moment for every Maldivian musician and artist. He also said becoming a Grammy-recommended artists was a notable achievement for a Maldivian artist.
“I would like to advise every young musician to work hard and make use of every opportunity,” Adhuham said.
Adhuham further revealed discussions were ongoing to host an international music festival in the Maldives tied to The World Album.
