Applications open for Climate Innovation Youth Challenge

The Island Lab opened for applicants for its Climate Innovation Youth Challenge on Sunday.
The youth challenge program seeks to find solutions to 8 different issues related to reducing waste and sustainability. It is open to youth aged 19-24 years, and provides mentorship from an international team of industry veterans across creative and technical fields.
Co-founder of conservation lifestyle brand Zero Waste Maldives Afrah Islamil is part of the team of experts.
Training, workshop and lab space will be provided for participants to develop their ideas into prototypes, according to the Island Lab’s website. The sessions will take place in the Greater Male’ region from August to November 2022.
The two most innovative ideas will be selected for UNICEF Global Innovation Challenge.
Deadline for applications is 3rd August 2022.
The Island Lab is an initiative by the NGO Eco Org and UNICEF that encourages climate innovation. It is based in Crossroads Maldives.
