President Dr Mohamed Muizzu met with members of Rasgetheemu Island Council, the Women's Development Committee (WDC), and senior heads of institutions at the island to discuss key issues related to the island's development. The meeting took place on Tuesday at the Secretariat of the Council.
At the meeting, the Council briefed the President on the most pressing matters for the island’s development. As such, the Council noted that habour expansion, urgent repair work on the island’s power grid, resolution to the issue of water and sanitation networks, a children’s park and the addition of a multi-purpose hall and classrooms to the school as the most pressing needs.
Addressing the meeting, the President assured that the concerns raised would be addressed.
