Maldivian Airlines is seeking sales agents in Thailand and Malaysia to expand its operations.
Interested parties have been invited to submit expressions of interest by February 11.
Managing Director of Island Aviation, which operates the national airline, Ibrahim Iyas said that the airline is also looking for sales agents in Europe and South Africa.
Hiring of these agents will be followed by the announcement of new flights when finalized.
Thailand and Malaysia are popular travel destinations for Maldivians.
Maldivian Airlines received its first wide-body aircraft, the A330, and has begun flights to three destinations in China; Beijing, Shanghai, and Chengdu.
The new aircraft was delivered to Maldives on Monday last week. The Airbus A330 has the capacity to carry 260 passengers, with seats offered in business, premium and economy class, and has a cargo capacity of 10 tonnes.
Each passenger is granted a baggage allowance of 40kg.
With the Airbus 330, Maldivian's fleet is now at 25 aircrafts. The airline aims to acquire an additional Airbus A330 plane later this year, and to commence flights to destinations in Europe as well.
