Former Deputy CEO of IGMH, Mohamed Rishwan has been appointed as the new Managing Director of Maldives Ports Limited (MPL).
The appointment was posted on social media by the Privatization Board.
Rishwan's appointment follows the vacancy left by Mohamed Wajeeh, who was removed from his position as Managing Director of MPL on Sunday night.
Wajeeh held the post since November 28, 2023.
Rishwan has previously served as the Deputy CEO of IGMH under former President Abdulla Yameen's administration.
Prior to that, he was the Deputy Commissioner of Police before he resigned from the role in 2011. Rishwan has been involved in his own business ventures recently.
