Speaker of the Parliament Abdul Raheem Abdulla has returned to the Maldives following his official visit to Pakistan to attend the Inter-Parliamentary Speakers Conference (ISC).
The Inter-Parliamentary Speakers Conference was held in Islamabad from 10 to 12 November.
During the conference, Speaker Abdul Raheem delivered an address, calling for further strengthening of multilateral parliamentary cooperation to promote peace, security, and sustainable development.
In his address, the Speaker praised Pakistan's initiative in hosting the conference, and described the ISC as an important platform for promoting parliamentary action on various global challenges.
On the sidelines of the conference, Speaker Abdul Raheem paid a courtesy call on the Chairman of the Senate of Pakistan, Yusuf Raza Gilani.
