Orchid named after President and First Lady in Singapore

An orchid hybrid has been named after His Excellency President Dr Mohamed Muizzu and First Lady Madam Sajidha Mohamed at the National Orchid Garden of Singapore.
The naming ceremony took place during the President and the First Lady’s visit to the Singapore Botanic Gardens. The newly named orchid will be displayed in the “VIP Orchids” collection.
The National Orchid Garden has a long tradition of naming orchid hybrids after visiting state dignitaries.
The President and the First Lady signed the visitors book and were given a briefing about the garden’s history and tours.
The President and the First Lady are currently in Singapore on a state visit from 29th June to 2nd July 2025.
