Two women were injured in an accident in Thinadhoo city on Sunday, one is being treated in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Dr. Abdul Samad Memorial Hospital (ASMH).
Police said in a statement that a car-motorcycle collision was reported to the agency at 07:44 on Sunday morning. The accident occurred at the junction of Ghaazee Magu and Rannabandeyri Magu in Thinadhoo city.
Two women on the motorcycle were injured in the accident, police said. The driver of the motorcycle is the one being treated in the ICU now, police said.
Police are investigating the incident.
There have been dangerous accidents in Thinadhoo city in the past. A 31-year-old woman died after being injured in a motorcycle-car collision on April 27.
