Following the National Meteorological Center issuing Yellow Alert today، Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF) has advised all the sea travelers to be on alert for the worsening weather conditions in the Maldives.
The statement issued by the authority had emphasized the worsening weather conditions in the country and advised the sea travelers to ‘only plan the journey after retrieving the latest information on the weather conditions’.
The statement further urged the sea travelers to keep sufficient life-jackets، at as easy reach، to secure the cargo tightly and not to overload the cargo on the cargo vessels.
MNDF also highlighted and advised the pre-checking of the security and safety equipment such as communication gadgets، and also to adhere to the safety regulations mandated to ensure the safety and security on sea.
In addition، MNDF also urged the owners، crew and other relevant personnel to be on the look for the docked vessels in the lagoon.
