Halal foods gains popularity in China market

Halal foods are gaining popularity in the Chinese market.
This was evident in the China-South Asia Exposition and Kunming Import and Export Fair held in Kunming City, China from the 11th to the 16th of this month. In the fair a halal foods stall was opened. The stall was a success, with the products in the stall being sold out within a few hours.
The stall owners were quite young and dressed in Islamic garb. One of the stall owners spoke to Miadhu stating that the products were brought by not just Muslims.
The global demand for halal foods in on the rise, given the safety and cleanliness standards applicable to all halal foods.
Halal certification is awarded to food items after stringent tests on the products. Even in Maldives, Halal certification is given to food items after stringent quality checks are carried out on the products.
