The Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dr Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed has announced the government’s decision to award the contract to an interested private benefactor for the construction of an ultra-modern mosque in Villimale’.
Minister Dr Shaheem said that a private benefactor has expressed interest in building an ultra-modern mosque on the site of the old mosque in Villimale’.
The mosque will be constructed within two years, he said, adding that the new mosque will be fully equipped with classrooms.
The government has attached special priority to the development and renovation of mosques in different parts of the country.
