Waste Management Corporation (WAMCO) as announced waste collection service timings for the upcoming month of Ramadan – which the company said will be implemented next week.
In an appearance on Public Service Media (PSM)’s ‘Raajje Miadhu’ program on Tuesday night, Ahmed Saeed, an assistant manager at WAMCO, said that household waste collection services will be provided in Male’, Hulhumale’ and Vilimale’ from 08:30 pm to 02:30 am during Ramadan.
But in the Hiyaa housing units in Hulhumale’ Phase II, waste collection services will be provided from 09:00 am to 04:30 pm and from 09:00 pm to 01:00 am.
The call center will be open from 09:00 am to 02:00 pm and from 09:00 pm to 12:00 am.
According to Saeed, the new timings will be implemented ahead of Ramadan – on Sunday, February 23.
He said that WAMCO decided to implement the new timings ahead of Ramadan “so that people can get familiar with the new timings.”
