Former President Nasheed's first trip after returning home, will be to Addu City

Self-exiled former President Mohamed Nasheed will be travelling to Addu City on the 03rd of November, Member of Parliament for north-Hithadhoo constituency, Mohamed Aslam has revealed.
MP Aslam revealed this in a tweet posted on his official twitter account.
Nasheed was sentenced to 13 years in prison under terrorism allegation in 2016, he has since been living in self-exile after the United Kingdom granted him political asylum.
The former President, also the leader of main opposition Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP), had announced that he will be returning back to the Maldives in November, following opposition candidate Ibrahim Mohamed Solih’s win in the Presidential Election held in September.
Previously speaking to RaajjeMV, MDP’s Deputy Leader Mohamed Shifaz stated that the first island Nasheed will be visiting after arriving back in the country is Addu, he had however not revealed the date.
The opposition MDP has since been preparing for Nasheed’s arrival, and is to throw a grand welcome.
