The presiding bench overseeing the trial of Ex-President Mohamed Nasheed had resolved the closing argument، or the concluding statements of the trial will be held during the hearing on Friday.
The presiding bench came to the decision during tonight’s hearing of the former president and the opposition Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) leader Mohamed Nasheed، held at the Criminal Court.
The bench’s resolution depicts the verdict on Nasheed might be issued during next week.
During tonight’s hearing، Criminal Court Chief Justice Abdulla ‘Gaazee’ Mohamed testified against Nasheed.
Ex-President Nasheed is pressed with terrorism charges by the State for unlawfully detaining and isolating the Criminal Court Chief Judge Abdulla ‘Gaazee’ Mohamed in 2012.
