Gaaf Dhaal atoll Madaveli has been hit with sea swells، the island council said.
Though no extensive damages were caused، the island council said that it has affected 150 ft of the northern parts of the island، including 10 residences and the pre-school.
The sea swells reportedly began at 01:30 last night until 02:15.
The island council of Madaveli said that it is unclear to say that the sea swells last night are caused by the supermoon yesterday، as Madaveli is occasionally hit with sea swells during high tides.
In addition to Madaveli، from Huvadhoo aotll، Gaddhoo، Maamendhoo and Villingili have been affected by sea swells.
