Mohamed Ajufaan Rasheed and Nasheeu Sharafuddheen from the Maldivian badminton team won two of the three Singles games held during the match; Mohamed Shaarim lost in the third game. During the Doubles, Nasheeu and Mohamed Nashfaan succeeded in their match, but the pair Shaarim and Zayan Shaheed Zaki were defeated. Ajufaan competed against Koik Batil of Reunion in the first game, winning with a set of 2-1. Batil won the first set with a score of 21-10. However, Ajufaan won the subsequent sets with scores of 21-15 and 21-14 respectively, thus winning the game. Nasheeu triumphed in the second game by winning two sets consecutively against Chun Fong Tin of Reunion. He succeeded in the first set with a score of 24 – 22, followed by 21-16 in the second. Shaarim lost the third game against Didia Nogria of Reunion, who won the first two sets with scores of 21-18 and 21-7. The fourth game of the match, which was the first Doubles game, was a victory for the pair Nasheeu and Nashfaan, who with a set of 3-2 against the Reunion pair Laudey Sebastian and Nogria. In the last game, Shaarim and Zayan lost the first two sets against Baatil and Vanam Gamudia of Reunion.
