Maldives Showcases Tourism Excellence at OTM Mumbai 2025

Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC), along with 38 industry partners showcased the Sunny Side of Life at OTM Mumbai 2025, the leading travel trade show in India and Asia. The event took place from 30th January 2025 to 1st February 2025, at Jio World Convention Centre, Mumbai.
OTM is one of India’s largest international travel trade exhibitions, providing a key platform for industry professionals to present the latest updates on tourism products and services. MMPRC’s participation aimed to strengthen connections with the Indian travel trade and enhance the Maldives’ visibility in the market.
The Maldives stand featured a range of activities, including media interviews, meetings with key travel trade professionals, and promotional events. Industry partners highlighted the country’s unique tourism offerings, reinforcing its appeal to all segments of Indian travellers.
India was the sixth-largest source market for the Maldives in 2024, with 130,805 tourist arrivals, accounting for 6.4 percent of the total market share. MMPRC has consistently conducted targeted promotional campaigns to attract Indian visitors. In 2024, activities included the Discover Maldives Webinar, PR campaigns, roadshows, influencer familiarisation trips, and collaborations with Indian travel media.
For 2025, MMPRC has planned an extensive range of marketing initiatives, including digital and social media campaigns, participation in major trade fairs and exhibitions, media interviews, advertising campaigns, and TV and online programmes. Familiarisation trips will also be organised to maintain destination momentum and solidify the Maldives’ reputation as a top holiday choice for Indian tourists.
