The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has launched a disciplinary investigation into High Court Judge Dheebanaz Fahmy, over allegations of delay in conducting a trial.
While the JSC has not disclosed further details, AVAS has learned that the complaint relates to an undue delay in proceedings.
Dheebanaz was appointed as a High Court judge on August 9, 2022. Before that, Dheebanaz was a Criminal Court judge. She was the first woman judge appointed to the Criminal Court.
Dheebanaz has also served as Deputy Prosecutor General.
