A collision between two motorcycles in Hulhumale' Phase II on Monday evening has left one person dead and two others injured, according to Maldives Police Service.
The accident occurred on Nikagas Magu, and police confirmed that three people were injured in the crash. One of the injured later succumbed to their injuries, police said in a statement.
Photos circulating on social media show severe damage to both motorcycles, indicating the force of the impact. Police officers were seen at the scene shortly after the incident.
Authorities have not yet released the identities of those involved. The cause of the collision is under investigation.
