Kulhudhuffushi City Council has revealed that more than 1,100 people visited the “WDC Expo 2024” held in Kulhudhuffushi City.
This expo was an initiative conducted jointly by the city’s Women’s Development Committee (WDC) and the Kulhudhuffushi City Council.
A total of 25 participants showcased their products and businesses at the expo held on the 10th of this month. This included 23 women and 2 men.
The primary objective of this expo was to facilitate the promotion of small businesses and handicrafts in Kulhudhuffushi and to establish an environment where such work can be showcased.
Various entertainment activities were also carried out during the expo. Performances by the Misqaal Boduberu group and Zeno Vibe added to the excitement of the event.
Furthermore, a lucky draw was conducted among the visitors, with prizes awarded to 32 lucky winners selected by the draw.
Kulhudhuffushi City Council stated that the expo was a very successful event and that the attendance of over 1,100 people represented a significant level of support. The council also noted that such activities provide great encouragement for local talent and small business owners to advance their work.
