The Maldives Ministry of Tourism is currently seeking an interested third-party firm to conduct the ‘Maldives Visitors’ Survey’ in order to assess an overall guest consensus about the island nation.
The Ministry stated that the survey is to be conducted to thoroughly assess the feedback of holidaymakers visiting the country. The survey is expected to assess the reception of travellers for the services and hospitality outlets they visit during their stay.
The survey is expected to be conducted thrice every year for a period of three years as per the Ministry’s announcement.
Furthermore, the Ministry also stated that the tourists will be inquired under the survey in their native language.
Interested parties are conditioned to prepare the survey sheets in eight different languages including English, Italian, German, French, Japanese, Chinese and Russian. In addition to this, the Ministry expects interested parties to present their proposal before 14 March.
The last time a similar survey was conducted was in 2016, which showed that 47% of the travellers visiting the Maldives choose the island nation for its pristine beauty. The survey also showed that 53% of the travellers receive their information about the Maldives from the internet.
In addition to this, the survey also showed that 19% of the holidaymakers visiting the country have visited more than once.
