Economic Minister Saeed have said that Maldives was in a dire situation before President Yameen assumed office.
Speaking at a ceremony held tonight to celebrate the achievements of the government in the past three years, Minister Saeed said that the country was in darkness due to political turmoil and that is not what the people deserve.
Minister said that the economy will grow when the country is stable. He said that due to the stability achieved by the President the economy has grown at a rate never seen before.
He said that the capital investment allocated for youth city alone is more than all the capital investments in the history of Maldives. He said while only 53 thousand containers were imported to the country in 2011, this year alone 83 thousand containers were imported. He said that this is a reason to support president Yameen.
He further said that the President cares about the people a lot. Saeed said that it will be impossible to achieve anything without a clear vision and president Yameen’s difference is having a clear vision to achieve success.
