FIFA Emergency Committee has appointed Shakeeb، the doctor of National Football Team، as the member substitute of Mohamed Hussain (Oiyttey) for the Normalising Committee of Football Association of Maldives (FAM).
At the meeting of FIFA Emergency Committee held yesterday، changes were brought to FAM Normalising Committee and the term of the committee was expanded upon the suggestion of AFC.
While the term of FAM Normalising Committee will end today، FIFA Emergency Committee has expanded the term of FAM Normalising Committee until the changes brought to FAM’s basic regulations are registered at Home Ministry and the work of extra ordinary congress and election concludes.
While Mohamed Shaweed who was the Chariman of FAM Normalising Committee has once again been appointed for the same position، Doctor of National Football Team، Shakeeb has been appointed as the Deputy Chairman of the committee.
The three members of the committee includes former Deputy Chairman of Normalising Committee، Abdul Hameed Abdul Ghafoor (Addo)، Ali Umar and Faseeh Zahir.
The change made to the Normalising Committee is appointing Shakeeb in place of Oiyttey، and appointing Shakeeb as the Deputy Chairman in place of Addo.
Oiyttey was appointed a member of FAM Normalising Committee in April this year in place of former member of the committee، TC Sports Club’s coach، Mohamed Nizam (Nizambe).
FIFA has brought changes to the FAM Normalising Committee and extended its term at such a time when the extra ordinary congress has been cancelled. FAM has not rescheduled the congress yet.
